The broken skate park located directly next to the indoor skate hall Heizhaus was finally shredded and allowed to find its rest as filling material. Yamato Living Ramps was brought on board as the construction company and endboss as the planning authority to give the project the necessary excellence.
The result is perhaps the best skate park in Germany, built to the latest standards - barrier-free and to Olympic standards. A maximum number of different skate areas are available side by side, which can be used by many skaters, bikers, scooter and wheelchair users at the same time in a never-ending combination of elements. Floodlights, which illuminate the space for 30 minutes at the touch of a button, provide the necessary brightness in the evening hours for lingering and observing or doing other things such as streetball, table tennis and calisthenics.
Completed in 2021, the complex received recognition as part of the Saxon State Prize for Building Culture 2022 and the City of Leipzig Architecture Prize 2023. Anyone who visits this place will understand why. This is the good life.
