A monument to brutalism and urban utopia as a city within a city, the Ihme Center was built in the 1970s…
At the invitation of the City of Hanover, we submitted a competition entry together with Hallo: e.V. (aka u.v.m.) for a cultural space, including an operating concept, in the Ihmezentrum. Unfortunately, we were ghosted by the city at some point during the ongoing process…even before the super-duper investor and then owner Lars Windhorst cowardly walked away and left the building and all those in and around it not only to their own fate, but above all to his bankrupt fate.
Nevertheless, the idea was a good one and can also be requested for other asswipe investment projects.
